I have to make a choice between a masters in geology with a GIS emphasis at Idaho State or a masters in geo-hydrology at Portland State. My concerns are which school will offer the best opportunities (i.e. networking) and what is the market for a masters in G-Hydrology as opposed to a program in geology with an emphasis in GIS? I feel I am capable of succeeding in either program but I am worried about the job prospects after school…
